Portside Frequent Buyer Program

Need help finding that perfect gift? Simply tell us the ages and interests of those for whom you wish to buy a gift, and we will happily recommend gift ideas from our abundant selection of books, calendars, music, books on tape, journals, and stationery. To order a gift certificate, click here.

In order to assist family members and friends in their gift book selection, we have established a Customer Book Registry. If you are interested in participating in this program, simply provide us with the following information: name, address, e-mail, and telephone number, along with a list of book categories, titles, and authors of interest.

Port Side Punch Card

We've created a punch card system in which for every $5 spent at Port Side in Bernard, you'll have your card punched once. The card can only be punched at the time of the purchase, so be sure and keep it in your wallet! When you have accumulated 20 punches on your card, that is, $100 spent, you can present your card and receive $10 off your next purchase. We will punch your card in increments of $5. That means if your purchase is $14.95, you will receive 2 punches. But if you add a postcard to that $14.95 and the total reaches, say, $15.25, you'll receive 3 punches. Unlike the Bookstore, everything - books, maps, cards, gifts, art supplies - counts towards the $5 at Port Side. (Note: the purchase must be greater than $10).

Now, the retroactive part: if you made purchases at Port Side during our first summer (2006), and took the time to let us enter your name and data in our computer, we will have a record of those purchases, for which we have now applied punches to a card for you. We will hold onto your personal card until we see you again. Be sure to ask us for it. You may already have a discount!
